Comments I ended up with Seasport, because Bubbles Below did not answer my e-mails and forwarded my request for info to Seasport. I am close to having a 100 dives over 20 years under my belt, but am not thrilled with either of these operations who seem to dominate Kauai. We had 8 divers on the Seasport boat and it was difficult to manuever dive gear, tanks, etc. Thank goodness 2 divers didn't show up! They have a "head," but we were told not to use it. Our briefing was done by the captain on the dock, who mostly told us what "he" wanted us to do for his comfort. There was really no information about what we could expect to see. When we got on the boat, we were told to suit up, since it was only a 10 minutes boat trip. As soon as the last person came up from the first dive, we again were told to suit up for the second dive and took a 5 minute boat trip. First dive was to 54' and second to 63'. We were told not to worry about our log books, because they had all the information and would tell us what to put in our logs. And, of course, they had a film of our dive and what we saw or didn't see -- and guess what? They would be happy to sell you the CD for $70. or something like that! I will grant you we saw some beautiful sea creatures, including Spanish Dancer eggs and a male spotted Boxfish, but I think the DM taking all the pictures was more interested in selling his CD. In general, this is a very commercial operation that really doesn't care that much about it's divers or whether they come back year after year -- and they don't have to worry about me, because I won't be back next year.
