Comments Went to Maui during height of whale season. Advertised for experienced divers only ,though we had good dive conditions. Check in at shop was 6:45 , very organized, and free parking a minute away.Despite their Nitrox rule, I was able to order and test Nitrox the same day at check-in. Equipment was taken to boat by crew as we had a short walk to the pier, greeted by friendly staff on board. Crew set up gear and gave detailed orientation. 12 divers were split up into 2 groups on a roomy boat that holds 24 divers. Roll calls after each dive, and twin ladders a nice feature.Separate bucket for cameras, snacks and lunch provided(can request vegetarian/vegan lunch when signing up on their website). We passed the majestic walls of the backside of Lanai spotting whales, as we prepared to dive. Brian, our guide , took us to South Barge Harbor, Sargent Major, and Monolith, the latter being the shallow dive.Deep dives with 75 ft. vis to 40 ft.vis on last shallow dive. Gentle drift diving as Brian took us through many swim throughs and found some interesting critters like the giant Java moray eel, banded angelfish, golden lace nudibranch, black tip shark, peacock grouper, dragon wrasse, octopus, green turtle.Coral was lobe and some antler, not very colorful , but mostly healthy. Heard whales singing below, and on way back to harbor we saw a newborn whale flopping around on the surface with her Mom unseen below, teaching her how to swim, with the escort whale nearby.
Very pricey diving and not as colorful or fishy as other worldwide sites.Enough interesting critters to satisfy an average diver.

This is the 3-tank advanced trip (live drops), which I've done several times. Hawaii diving is expensive, period, but you can't beat topside. I've done probably 80-100 dives with LD over the last 11 years.
