Comments As indicated in other reader reports, this is a really great dive operation. The dive masters were very good about going slowly and pointing out critters, etc. They all did very detailed briefings, including what to look for and where to look. You could dive your own profile, but you risked not seeing all the goodies. We saw reef sharks but no other large animals. Saw dolphins on the way out and the way in. Saw several very nice eels, including a couple that were free swimming. Dive masters were great at finding nudibrachia and other small critters. They were also very respectful of the animals and coral. No puffer fish being blown up; no coral being handled and broken. All the dive masters had great personalities, as well. It would have been nice to have a dive shop to go to, but that was a very minor lack. We WILL go back to the Big Island and we WILL dive with Dive Makai again - the sooner the better.
