Comments Aquanuts is a great dive operation. They are very professional and love to dive and it shows with their service. They recognize when they have experienced, safe divers on the boat and accomodate for maximum bottom time. Some dive sites are 'not to be missed', others, for example the 'statues' was disappointing: bad viz, very shallow, but interesting to see the sculptures underwater. I would certainly recommend Aquanuts and True Blue for your trip to Grenada. The room we had at True Blue was awesome, huge, with a big jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and a full kitchen. There was a safe in the room.
Things that should not be passed up: a trip on the local buses. Definitely a cultural experience. We got on a bus, which is actually a minivan, with a driver playing Indian (from India) music and another guy who opens the door at every stop for people waiting. Sometimes the door guy would get out and go look for someone. It was really fun.
Eat dinner at da Big Fish. Excellent, memorable curry!
You want to have local currency, especially for the cabs because they have "their own" exchange rate, if you get my drift. Agree on a fare before you get in.
Even though it rained 6 out of 7 days, we really enjoyed ourselves and Paul and the DM's at Aquanuts made it great.
GO, DIVE!
