Comments While the hotel has no beach they do have an infinity pool surrounded by sand that is a pretty good substitute. It is a FUNky, not posh resort, I really enjoyed it! the staff was super friendly and efficient and the food was great. They went out of their way to provide a Marine Corps Birthday cake and machete cake cutter so we were able to celebrate this important occasion. You will need to get a currency adaptor from the front desk to charge phones, etc., the hotel has a large quantity so it's not a problem. The Geer family, Tom, Tammy, Tiffany and Tylor, run Aquanauts as a labor of love, their faces have smiles no matter what is going on, they truly want you to be part of their family. And the rest of their crew give incredible personal service that really spoils you. My back is 77 years old and won't let me haul a BCD and tank up a dive ladder like it used to but the crew was understanding and let me take it off in the water and hauled it up for me after my dives. You leave all your gear with them after diving and miraculously it appears the next morning rinsed and ready for another day. I think the world of their dive boats, service and overall operation. There had been some heavy rain a few days before our arrival which made the viz a little murky but it improved every day and was fine by the end of the week. The dive sites had good coral, lots of fish, and good lava formations that were quite enjoyable. Although we didn't see any sharks we did see a big, badass lobster strolling around with a chip on his or her shoulder, quite amusing!. The Bianca C. drift dive was a super fun ride, a memorable experience for sure. Their Nitox is 30% which allows you the benefits of more oxygen and the ability to go to 130 feet deep on the Bianca C.
