Comments This is a delightful small resort with only 8 well appointed and clean bures with incredible views of the SomoSomo straights and Rainbow Reef known for its soft corals, but plenty of hard corals and millions of small to medium sized fish in huge schools. The White Wall dive is one of our top dives ever. If you want to do it, you must plan in advance and their website posts the dates (only a few days each month based on moon and tides) a year in advance or more. Several sharks, Manta’s dolphins and a few turtles. These dives are all about the soft corals. Some strong currents and reef hooks can be used on a few of the dives for safety stop on top of reef if you wish, our float into the blue with the current. Other dives had little to no current. Good mix, never got bored.
Resort caters to your every wish including food types, cooking classes upon our request, dive time changes to accommodate a visit to a local church, local non diving activities like hiking, snorkeling, island tours, garden tours, you name it. Even a par 3 golf course to play with the locals in a weekly scramble. All bures are identical, probably best views and most sunlight from Zoo (altho right next to pool/restaurant); Yellow tunnel and Cabbage Patch. See the resort map on their website. No need for AC, the fans and natural breezes are wonderful alternative and it was not too hot at all. The food is superb and they will fix what you want, have specials every lunch and dinner and regular “American” food like burgers and pizzas if you insist. The only resort with its own dive operations right on premises-a two minute walk or they will take you in the small trucks. The other options on Taveuni are mediocre appearing or bring their divers to this resort. This is the closest reef to all the best dive sites, 15 minutes away. Surface interval at sheltered beach on Viti Levu across the straight. Staff is mostly long term and well trained in their duties. Their “house” dogs are clean, darling and well behaved. Long time owners are really nice people. Spent 10 glorious days there. Will go back!

UW Photo Comments Took great stills and go pro videos. No place on the boats for cameras except one large bucket of clean water. No table on boat. no specific camera room on shore, but plenty of room in bures with tables and chairs to use. WiFi in restaurant/pool area. Slow but worked every day, being upgraded.
