Comments This was our 4th trip to Fiji. Our previous 3 were at Beqa Island.
Great diving & accomodations, but too much rain. My wife & I were celebrating our 25th anniversary & were looking for better weather.
We found it. Mostly sun with few clouds & wind the 8 days we stayed. It was one of the best trips to Fiji we've had. The resort is on the side of a hill with the entrance at the top of the hill. The grounds are well landscaped & well maintained. The large bure has the boutique, main desk & dining room with a large deck for eating overlooking the ocean & nearby islands. First night was in a oceanview bure up the hill from the beach. Each bure has 2 separate units, each with a queen bed & large bathroom. The next nights we were in a honeymoon bure on the beach. It was very spacious with large bed, double sink, indoor & outdoor showers, & a "plunge" pool (not heated). The food was good, not really gormet, but there was plenty of it. They had several themed buffet nights & you didn't have to order from the menu.
Kai Viti divers was really great. They dive no matter how many divers they had for the day. It's usually 2 tanks daily & sometimes a 3 tank trip out to Vatu I Ra Passage, weather permitting. The dive briefings were short, but the dive guides were very attentive to everyone's needs to assure a safe dive & they try to find critters for you. We saw sharks, schools of barracuda, large spotted eagle rays, soft corals, macro critters, etc. Beqa Lagoon has more macro critters, but not as much "wall" diving and the vis can be compromised when it rains. And, as always, the Fijians are some of the friendliest people we meet. They want to be sure you enjoy your stay in their country.
My wife & I thought this was a great resort, esp. for the price.

UW Photo Comments The boat had 2 rinse tanks for cameras. There was a small area to store cameras on board if you didn't want it to rattle around in the rinse tank.
