Comments We were warmly greeted by Captain Fritz Faulkner upon arrival. We left the port late that evening so we could all watch the Rugby finals at a local pub. There were three guests from England and one from Australia who were happy that Fritz was accomodating and delayed departure. The U.S. contingent on board had a great time learning about "real football." The boat was clean and comfortable. With a maximum of 10 divers, there was enough space for all. We used the tender for some dives where the boat could not get close to the drop off point, but it was very easy to use. The food was outstanding and *all* of the staff worked hard to accomodate all of us. The entire crew operated smoothly and got along well. Fritz was a great source for the history of diving in Fijian waters. His knowledge of the waters around the islands seemed to know no boundries. The dive briefings were thorough and accurate. The divemasters were far more knowledgeable on marine life than any others I have encountered. It was very informative to learn more than just the name of an animal. There were no disappointing dives. Our favorites were (no particular order) Window of Dreams, North Save-A-Tack, Magic Mountain, E-6, and Hi-8. The corals, colors, and fish life were extensive. There was something to hold your attention at all depths. Perhaps the most interesting sighting was of a Hairy Ghost Pipefish--very very rare and is not even supposed to be in Fiji. Lots of pictures were taken of this animal and it looks especially good on the video. We had a terrific encounter with a young Manta that decided to play with us, swimming in circles around us, coming in close then pulling away - very surreal. The several schools of different big fish on North Save-A-Tack was truly poetry in motion - thank you Nitrox for giving me a longer bottom time on that dive.

This was one of the few dive trips where we had nothing about which to complain. The Fiji Aggressor II exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to dive them again.
