Absolutely! I always carry mine. Even better, and mine is, is the DiveNav "TwoCoo" that also checks for CO gas presence. Don't assume that tank of 21% is good gas, especially overseas.

Thanks for the review. Considering they were your group, perhaps you should have said NO to those who were not Nitrox certified. Your the instructor in charge.

That I did, as well as discussed the matter on the first day of diving with your staff. Bottom line however, is Beqa Lagoon Resort provided the nitrox without getting proof of the two diver's Nitro Certifications. I was not their Instructor, just the travel group leader. The responsibility for providing Nitro rests with the dive shop foremost. My only student while there was a lady from Canada completing her Open Water. On one of the last dives of the week your boat was low on EAN21% (air) tanks and offered her a Nitrox 32 which she properly refused. Sorry Michael, you can't transfer the responsibility or the fault on this one and I submitted a QA to PADI on this as well as the numerous accidents I observed during the week, including damage to the bow of a boat I was on that rammed the dock over on the mainland. Beqa Lagoon needs a safety stand down to review their operations.

First off, you need to correct your first sentence, referring to "your staff" as you make it sound like it was my staff. I have nothing to do with you or this resort. You keep referring to me as the operator (your boat). I am reading exactly what you stated. Since you admit it was "your group", and the non-certified Nitrox divers were in your group, they essentially become your responsibility. So did you and your wife get free rooms for bringing others? Likely yes the way you phrased it. Your last statement referring to me as "transferring the responsibility" is pure BS. Again, I am not the operator and you infer that I am. It seems you need a refresher on corresponding liability as a "travel group leader". I assure you that if something happened to any of those in your group from this Nitrox debacle, your going to spend a small fortune defending yourself in court.

OK Mr. Bennett, my assumption that you were "connected" with the Resort was in error and I publicly take responsibility for that false assumption. Not sure why you chimed in then with your own "assumptions" on the facts or now presume to give me your advice. We know nothing about you, but if you are not an attorney, please don't put legal advice in public postings. I'm not going to respond to any more of your posting. The report of this resort that I made here and to PADI remains accurate and was made so the members of Undercurrent could make their own informed decisions.
