Comments The transfer point from the bus from Nadi to the boat in Suva was disconcerting upon arrival, but after hearing the reason for not investing in an upgrade it was understandable. They do their best to have the bus and the boat there so you do not spend more than a few minutes at the transfer point. The resort is not sure how long they will have this dock as dredging in being done in the area and they may be booted from the location any day. Once they are moved they will build new infrastructure where you transfer from the bus to the boat over to Bega. The staff and villagers of Bega were more like friends than wait staff. My wife and I loved the place and plan on going back soon. We both grew up in small village environments, so felt right at home. Do not expect big city urban ammenities. The food was excellent, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. They did have air conditioning. We spent one night in a garden bure, and the other 8 days in one of the beach front bures. we had an issue with our toilet tank not filling one morning. I notified the office and it was promptly remedied. There was a two tank shark dive for $100US which I did and it was worth the money.

UW Photo Comments No shore support of camera equipment. You keep your camera in your room. the boat only had a water barrel for your camera and that is where it stayed though this did help to prevent fogging from the temp differences. No dry table or shelf for battery/memory card changes.
