Comments Nature Island Dive was great. We did 11 dives, 5 of the dives were just my wife and I, the other 6 dives only had 4 of us. DM's (Tony and Oscar) were great, bottom times averaged 62 minutes. Captain was helpful getting on and off boat. True valet diving, they rinsed our gear each night and set it up in the morning and switched our tanks between dives. Boat was wide and roomy. Dive sites were only 5 minutes away so we came to shore between dives. Nice varied topography, flat reef dives, mini-walls to 100 feet, deep walls to 400+ ft, and our favorite topography was the pinnacle dives where you would drop to 80 ft and do a 360 spiral around the pinnacle going muti-level up to the flat top at 30 ft. Saw all kinds of fish and critters, 2 -4 spotted eels on every dive, 4 - 6 spotted drums on every dive, peacock flounders, flying gurnards, turtles and a juvenile trunkfish the size of a marble. One young turtle swam with us for 10 minutes going right up to all 5 divers checking each of us out, he even bumped my wife's camera lens. Stayed at the Evergreen Hotel in the Sea View Hut. Nice, simple accomodations located about 20 minutes north of Nature Island Dive. We drove ourselves down each morning, I was hoping the drive was a simple easy drive along the water but it turned out to be on narrow streets though small villages and twisty roads in the mountain, but the great service from NID made the drive worthwhile. Warning, on the weekends a loud music club a block away from the Evergreen plays until early morning(3 - 5 AM) making it hard to sleep. Food was good in the restaurant, the pool was nice after diving. We also did 2 dives with Dive Dominica located next door at Castle Comfort Lodge. They are a good op with a large, comfortable boat and good staff. But there were 11 divers and 2 DM's on our dives and that just wasn't as nice as the near private diving we had with NID. We enjoyed the outdoor bar along the water at Castle Comfort more than the indoor bar at the Evergreen
