Comments Not one thing bad except for the road construction going on. Dominica is the most beautiful Island we have ever found. It has 365 rivers and streams. Many beautiful waterfalls and the largest boiling lake in the world.Yes and I do mean boiling. No major hotels, not even a golf course. Small quaint cottages, small places to eat with a lot of very warm people. We just returned from our third trip to Dominica. We recommend Evergreen Hotel, right on the ocean with full restaurant. No kitchens, ask for Jenny. Exotica Cottages, 1200' above the ocean with ocean view in a beautiful location, eco friendly. Very nice Cottages with kitchen. Fae and Athie are wonderful people and Fae can really cook and will do so on request. Then there is CoCo Cottages, very eco friendly in the rain forests. No kitchens but they prepair very good meals for breakfast and dinners on request. Richard and Iris are your hosts. Richard also has "Extreme Dominica". He will take you site seeing in his plane or Repelling down waterfalls in Canyons where there is no other way go get out. My wife loves this adventure.
Dominica has a very good web site.
The man to talk to for Champagne Reef, tour's or activities is Mr. Dominica himself Clem Johnson a really great guy. Shop phone 7 days a week 767-440-5085, Clems cell 767-275-7001 no web site just yet.

UW Photo Comments Jump in, it is right in front of you. Beautiful water, wonderful color and lots of life including large turtles. This is "Champagne Reef" with actual volcanic bubbles coming from sea bottom, thousands and thousands of warm bubbles. Makes a beautiful picture. Excellant snorkeling sight but much better down under. About 40'depth and you will get a good 75 minutes or more on a tank. My wife came up with 1800 and I had 700 left. Easy access shore dive with snorkeling or dive gear on site. Champagne has dive master's that go out with the snorkel group's (max.10 per divemaster). Lot's of good boat dive site's also. You do not need a dive master for this site other than the fact, they know where all the little cirtters hang out. There are sperm whales year around in Dominica with daily boat trips to find them.
