Comments Dove off the Emerald Princess and a short walk from the cruise terminal took us to the large and roomy dive boat. There were 14 divers on board and we could have had twice that many with room to spare. We moored and on entering the water saw 3 reef squid by the mooring line. Descending we came upon a seahorse right below the boat. A short swim led to the vertical wall, prolific with life. There were several frogfish, both bright yellow and bright green, scorpionfish, varieties of eels and fish too numerous to mention. At the safety stop we saw a school of perhaps 30 reef squid inches from our masks. The second dive was Champagne, so named because of the continuous bubbles released from fissures in the rock by volcanic activity. There were also hot water vents in the area, more seahorses and various eels. The crew, Aaron and Imran, were great at pointing out critters, obviously enjoyed their work and justifiably proud of their island and their dive operation. It was refreshing to see all the divers babbling at the same time about what they had seen and what a great pair of dives we had experienced.
