Comments "Are you sure", Ashley pouted, "I'm really good and you will like what you see!" she said. I was tempted, I hadn't done anything like this for maybe 25 years and that was in Cozumel and the services were from a guy. I looked around and said "no thanks, I have my own camera so I will take my pictures, I don't need to buy yours". So Ashley continued on to the others on the boat and got a few to sign up to be photographed underwater. The diving in Curacao is typical Caribbean. The reefs are healthy and the divers, at least those that were on our boats, were all pretty experienced, except for 1 newbie dutch guy who like to run out of air and lecture salty dogs on their diving. Anyway the folks at Oceans Encounters run a good operation and allowed us to dive how we wanted. When we had larger groups they would divide the divers up into more manageable groups and stagger the starts of the dives enough that you were not on top of one another.

The resort is holding up well. It had been maybe 7 years since coming back. The staff was generally welcoming, by Dutch standards down right jovial. The rooms were adequate and similar to what you see in the Netherlands. Ample AC and water. Food is ok but there are plenty of places to eat and you would not want to miss Antonio's Italian restaurant directly across the inlet from Lions, exceptional food.

UW Photo Comments No real accommodations for cameras. There was a small bucket but I wasn't putting my rig in there. I have a collapsible cooler I use and that works well. There is a hose by the rinse tanks to clean up your camera, then its back to the room.
