Comments My long-time dive buddy and I went back to Curacao again. We got a good package deal from a travel broker/rep. He provided shuttle bus to/from airport (usually a 30 minute taxi ride for $20+)
Check was slow but friendly with porters to lug our luggage.
Lodging: Need to be specific as to room required or you may have a long walk or many stairs to contend with. Most rooms updated but there are three sections to hotel with older/different designs.
One excellent restaurant NEMO and one good bar/beach food Hemingways.

Oceans Encounter is a VERY well run operation. The store/shop staff are very friendly and helpful. Same can be said of the dive boat crews. Shop did not stock a lot of scuba specific gear. Tee-shirts etc. Snacks too. Hemingway is very close to shop.
Boats were fairly large (Newton 46) and properly equipped to include a big barrel of camera gear. Twin closed ladders. Fresh water and fruit onboard. Good organization which worked on regular time (vs. island time!)
About 50 dives available along the western side of the island. OE regularly goes East to sites close or needing moderate boat trip.
Going to Klein Curacacao is am all day trip offered. Reportedly limited diving? I didn't go.

Two tanks in AM standard. One or two tanks in afternoon also available. Night dives, one real wreck, and Lionfish Dives offered (optional).

Tip tank on boat and in shop. I put that on my c/c at end of diving.

Curacao inhabitants are very friendly. Both English and local Dutch spoken. Netherlands guilders & US dollars accepted almost everywhere even the ATMs. I tried to use guilders for cash and tipping.

UW Photo Comments Big fresh water barrel for gear rinse. Crew always asked to or handled cameras while getting on/off.
Dives in the 45 to 75 foot range were very good, usually well light but subject to lower viz due to "dust clouds". There was an alongshore current hampering photography at times (especialy in afternoon). Both tall and short walls. A ledge about 100 feet to steep drop-off.
I got plenty of CFWA and fish pics. Buddy shot close-ups.
(Note different diving offered at Westpunt. I did 4 up there).
There are professional photogs on some dives from Turtle and Bay photography. Charged for pics and video.
