Comments Let me start with what I wish I had known. 1. It's easier to get in and out of Cuba than we all worried about! 2. I strongly recommend you get the Cuba visa ahead of time - saves you time and money. 3) In February, you definitely want a warmer wet suit - min of 3 mm with a dry suit hood. 4. You can fly into Santa Clara or Camaguay and be met by a bus but both have long 3.5 to 2.5 hours drives, respectively to the boat.

The diving in Cuba is fantastic (relative to other Caribbean places). There was no dive I wouldn't do again. The very large number of sharks on many dives attests to the health of the reef. Hard coral coverage alone is about 45% whereas the rest of the Caribbean is around 14%. The snorkeling they offered in the mangroves and with the crocodiles was really unique and well-done. There was also a lot of macro life for those of us that enjoy the small stuff. This was a more expensive trip than a typical 1 week live aboard in the Caribbean, but a good amount goes towards their reef conservation and frankly, the diving is worth it.

The staff of the Jardines Aggressor was really terrific. They went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests, including completely reworking the dive program so we could get longer dives. They enthusiastically welcomed us back to the mother ship after every dive with dancing and music and hot towels.

The weakest part of the trip was probably the food. I assume it might be more difficult for them to have access to many things, so I do not want to make a big deal about this. No one went hungry and there were so many options you could find something to eat if you were vegan or vegetarian.

I want to definitely go back - which is the highest compliment I can give them.
