Comments Plan to spend some time in Havana - there is much to see (besides the old cars!). The people in Cuba are friendly, warm, and positive. Lots of history, culture, architecture, music, and more. Wear some good walking shoes, and take a tour of the city and area. Good food. The island has lots of vegetation. The bus ride from Havana lets you view the countryside and rural side of life.

Diving in Jardines de la Reina is good. Very healthy reefs, lots of fish. We saw no fishing line, no trash, and no bleaching of coral. The shark experiences are special.

Diving is from skiffs. Crew changes tanks for you. Nitrox is not available at La Tortuga (Feb 2017). We had 3 dives per day - two morning, one afternoon. There are no night dives.

Crew on La Tortuga is customer service oriented. There were 3 chefs, and the presentation of the food was noted.

Come with an open outlook, and don't be in a hurry.
