Comments We boarded the JAIII at the Port of Jucaro for the five-hour cruise to Jardines de la Reina (Gardens of the Queen), a protected marine park 60 miles southeast of the Cuban coast. Seven great days!

The highlight for me was that three skiffs went to three different sites every dive! No underwater crowds! Each skiff had a skipper, two guides, and about seven guests. The skiffs had plenty of room, drinking water, sun cover, and dry areas. I appreciated the back roll entry and the option to hand my BC up before climbing the ladder. Thin ladder steps, so booties made it easier. Dive briefings were thorough (dive plan, sketch, and expected features and critters). Nitrox was logged every dive. The four dives each day were 5-15 minutes away. Skiffs used moorings. Most dives we returned to the mooring, but there were a few drift dives. Water temps were 78-80 F. Vis varied from 40-60 feet.
