Comments I had been to Cuba's Garden of the Queen so when Aggressor offered a $1000.00 discount for a week diving the Walls of Zapata I booked it.Zapata diving did not compare to the wonderful diving in Garden of the Queen.Zapata has an outer & inner reef line...as long as we dove on the outer reef line diving was ok with good vis & enough to keep me interested.Luckily,we dove here 3.5 days before we moved toward land & the inner reef which was dismal with poor vis & very little to see.The Zapata swamp is close. The cruise directer who was very rigid told us bad weather was expected & she didn't want the boat to rock.We had a thunder storm the night before...no other stormy weather. The cruise directer did not dive so didn't matter to her where we dove. She was in control & let you know it.The boat & crew were good except for the cruise directer.Food was ok considering things are hard to get in Cuba. The cruise directer was at her worst when she told us at dinner that a $500 tip was expected from each of us...it was a real turn off & totally against Aggressor policy. So forget Zapata & go to Garden of the Queen where the reefs are pristine, the boat is larger/newer,& the cruise directer is so much better.
