Comments The diving was great. The visibilty the marine life and the health of the coral. I took my three kids diving with me ages 11,13,15 and they had a great time diving. We did 12 day dives and one night dive that was ausume. Incrediable views and very easy diving. Depth ranged from 90 feet to 50. After the first dive where they checked my kids out they permitted them to go as deep as 90 feet which they handled with no problem. The dive boats were decent and the crew and dive masters were very helpful. We averaged about 10 people to a boat not too crowded.
The Reef Club (All Inclusive)is all right accomidations. The beds are hard and the room is bare bones but fairly clean.Thin walls- you can definitely hear your neighbor. The food is a buffet. The breakfast is supprisingly good with made to order eggs/omletts. A lot of fruit and cereals. Lunch and dinner is pretty plain. They do have two resteraunts that you can eat at if you can get reserevations at, a Italian and a Bistro that both were suprisingly good - not great but good. They also have a grill pool side for lunch and late night that has burgers and hot dogs that me and the kids lived off of mostly. Bars are limited in what they have but if your not to picky can survive just fine. They have kayaks, wind surfers and snorkel gear included on the beach. The beach is the best point of the resort, sandy and decent snorkeling. They also rent jet skis, parasailing and other pay for options. The overall inviroment is kind of like a fraternity party, a lot of drunks a lot of drinking. The guest tend to be loud and rude. I say this because if you are a group of dive buddies looking to go diving and partying for 4 or 5 days it probably is a great place and deal. If you are a family looking for a weeks vacation diving and relaxing you may want to take this in consideration. We stayed last year at the Iberostar same time frame and also all inclusive and found it deffinitely more upscale with basically the same set up just everything a notch above. The Iberostar is about $100 a week more per person for the same package. If you are a family I would highly recomend it. If your the group of friends looking for a short dive trip the reef club is a bargin for the price.
