Comments Being senior citizens, we had been reluctant to go to Cozumel because of the currents. But, there were only about 3 of our 12 dives that had current strong enough to make the dives uncomfortable for us. The dive operation was well managed. Boats left promptly, motoring 30-45 minutes to the sites. Cold water and juice provided. Our dive master provided rather short briefings, but covered the essentials. We were allowed to extend our dives until our air hit 500psi (or less).
The accommodations were good. Really large, clean room, with bottled water located in walkway outside our door. As mentioned in other reviews, mattress was pretty firm, but not uncomfortable for us. Food was not gourmet, but well prepared. We were on the FAP plan and there during a slow period, so not as many meal options. Read their policies about extra fees for beverages, desserts, etc., so you don't have any surprises.

Following our week on Cozumel, we took the ferry back to Playa del Carmen, staying six nights at Hotel Casa de Gopala. Cenote diving was with Yucatek Divers right around the corner. There was a nightclub adjacent to the hotel, with loud music playing until 1:00 AM. Even ear plugs didn't help much. Ask for a room near reception, or stay elsewhere.
On a day off
Cenote diving for the first time was a real treat. Two dives at Dos Ojos, one at "The Pit", and last at Dream Maker. Our guide was Philippe; very safety conscious, but a bit impatient with us at times.
