Comments I have dove Cozumel many times in the past with numerous dive operators on the Island. After reading some reviews about Jeremy Anschel's Living Underwater after our last trip in June 2014 I decided for my next trip I'd try Living Underwater. Boy what a great idea it turned out to be. Jeremy's operation is first rate all the way. When we arrived in Cozumel, Jeremy came to the Condo we were staying at a picked up my dive equipment, I didn't mess with it again until the last day. My first day of diving all my gear was set up when I got on the boat. A small boat capable of carrying 7 divers with twin 150hp engines and covered top to protect you during surface intervals. The tanks are either 95 or 120 steel with air or 32% Nitrox available (Nitrox is $12 a tank extra) I dove the 120's with Nitrox. The dive sites were picked each day by all of us with very helpful input from Jeremy who serves as the the dive master for each dive. Jeremy has had the same two crew members for the past two years with Edwin being the Captain for the last two years, and Ricardo being the deck hand for the past 7 years. You enter the water doing a back roll, and exit the water up a ladder on the side of the boat after giving your BCD and fins to the crew members. Once on the boat you are given a towel to dry off and coat if you were cold. During the long surface interval of at least an hour and twenty minutes you either float or pull into one of the many beaches that dot the southern end of Cozumel. I did 5 days of diving, diving Nitrox because of the extended bottom times. I ended up with over 11 hours of bottom time in my 10 dives due to the larger tanks offered. For all 5 days there were two men on board who had been diving with Jeremy for many years, one day there was a young lady who's been diving with Jeremy for 12 years. In fact all the divers who I dove with were multiple time repeat customers. This tells me that Jeremy has been doing something right. I will be a repeat customer next time we go to Cozumel. You do pay a little more for Living Underwater than you would for a Cattle Boat, but the extra customer service is well worth the money spent. The fast boat, larger tanks, the provided towels, the coat to get warm all make Jeremy's operation a cut above the rest.
