Comments When you step onto the Jew Fish you’re likely to be greeted by happy fellow divers who have been diving with Jeremy Anschel for years. It’s easy to see why. Living Underwater does a great job in every category, from handling reservations to finding splendid toadfishes. Their focus on creature comforts (fresh fruit after diving, etc) makes a surprisingly big difference. I was among the least experienced on the boat this time, but the experts got to do their own thing while I stuck to the “guided tour.” That was perfect for me because I like small stuff and they are great at finding it. I really enjoyed my two days of diving with them on this return visit - I lost one day of diving, unfortunately, due to northerly winds that closed the port. Always a possibility here, although it’s the first time it happened to me. Although the recent Cozumel reef closures in the south made big news, the locations we dived looked great to me. Apparently everything is back open now; Jeremy said the authorities are planning to do rotating 2-month closures of the different reefs, which seemed like a good idea for both the sea life and the Cozumel diving business. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back; I think Cozumel is one of the best bangs for the diving buck that’s available.

UW Photo Comments Boat has a segmented tank for storing cameras separately from masks etc. Crew was very good about getting cameras from that tank into divers’ hands and vice versa.
