Comments My son and I did a cenote dive on 30 Dec. '08 at one of the best Riviera Maya cenotes - Dos Ojos. This was a 2 tank dive. There are 2 routes through this large cenote, each connecting to a large open pool/cavern starting area. One route takes you to the "Bat Cave" were you surface inside a cave to see bats and the cave features. Both routes are SPECTACULAR with lots of stalactites and stalagmites - large and small. There is no current. Water temp. was about 77 degrees. Maximum depth was 31 ft. with most areas around 20-25 ft.

Our guides were Ana and Net, from Dressel Divers. Both are cave and cavern certified. One guide per 4 divers - so you get personal attention. Very safety conscious with a full briefing and buoyancy check prior to start. Water was crystal clear, fresh, vis. about 120+ ft. Dressel did a great job for arrangements, transport, safety, snacks and drinks. They are located on site at the Iberostar Tucan/Quetsel and Barcelo Palace on the Rivera Maya.
