Comments We wanted an easy dive holiday. Coz was in our opinion the best value. Using the hotel op, Dressel divers, seemed like the thing to do. We were close to the best southern reefs, palancar/ columbia/ punta sur, so we dove the 'best'sites, all within 10-15 min. of the dock. We did however dive a couple of sites more than once. They use a fixed schedule re. sites, so you know going in where & when your diving. Booking a dive pkge ahead saved us 15 %, so this brought dressel a lot closer to 'reality', otherwise they're pricey. Extra dives taken on site were a lot more than I thought they should be. DM's are good, some much better than others ( Rachel) for finding / showing critters. Boats are fine, S I 's are back at the hotel since its so close.
If you're looking for max bottom time/ flexibility, this is not for you; if however you want a good price, we went june 28 to july 5, off seaon is the way to go, and Dressel make it easy and they keep things safe. Nitrox is free also.Lockers available at dive shop n/c.
Food was mediocre at best, but we weren't paying premium $$, so we were only a cab ride away from our favorite restaurants.. 'AI' is only 'AI' if you want it to be...
