Comments [None Secrets Cozumel All Inclusive w/DiveHouse Scuba Shop

We booked thru renowned dive broker Deep Blue (Toledo , OH area) The trip was Sept. 10-17, 2022 and the place was about 60 % occupied. We lucked out as the Hurricane hit Puerto Rico 4 days later and then Ft. Myers. Divehouse dive shop brings their boat right to the dock there @ Secrets. Diving is typically leaving the dock about 9 CST and it is typically a 2 tank dive (back by 1 pm estimated). I booked the 5 days of diving and rented my equipment/nitrox. The location is great as it is sort of centrally located to the dive sites along Cozumel. Sunday is a non cruise ship port day so I talked them into going to Paradise site (30 minutes away) to avoid tourists the next days. Unfortunately no seahorses there this trip.
It is possible to snorkel off the Secrets beach and night snorkel as there is supposed to be an octopus near the pier @ dawn. (15 ft.deep) San Clemente dive site was fabulous as were a number of the sites near by.
They rent a stand alone Scuba Pro nitrox wrist unit which is great to use and simple to read/use. The crew set it up each day @ nominally 33% and I had the rental equip. that was left on the boat daily for me to avoid trucking gear around.
San Clemente site was handy. One of the 5 days of diving we saw the biggest 7’ green moray I’ve seen in 35 yrs. (ditto a huge nurse shark under a ledge. One dive site we saw 3 nurse sharks stacked under a ledge during daytime dives. During the 5 days of diving we saw huge crabs, lobster, spotted morays and most all great variety fish on the underwater chart. I’ve been all over the world diving and Cozumel offers some of the best unique drift diving.
LESSONS LEARNED Make real sure DiveHouse makes it Explicitly known what time the boat will be leaving as that needs to be BETTER optimized. Newbies had better info. Than us muLti day repeat divers. Last day of diving it would have been beneficial if the divemaster had a taller safety sausage with DiveHouse logo on it as another smaller boat went right over the top of us on our Safety Stop (dual outboards). ALL DIVE VENDORS SHOULD have A LARGE UNIQUE logo tall safety sausage.
Other smaller dive boats come to that dock, but we had an experienced diver (lady) try to step down to another dive vendor smaller boat and ended up with 13 stiches in her ear as she twisted on the superstructure of the boat. (2nd day of her trip: done)

GREAT TRIP, BUT BE ON YOUR GAME
