Comments This is about our tenth time to Cozumel. We have traveled to many other places in the Caribbean but we keep always coming back to Cozumel. Cozumel is drift diving on a diverse reef. There are walls as well as valleys and shallows. Each of these areas we have found an abundance of marine life. Majority of the diving is the Marine Park. There are diving to the north but the current can be very tricky so we only dive in the south. The current can be strong at times. If your not sure about diving in current, there are also areas in the Marine Park that do not have as much current to introduce you to the type of diving in Cozumel. Best weather has been in the spring to summer and thru October. The Eagle Rays come in the winter months but so does the northernly winds that shut down diving. Out of a 5 day trip you might get 3 days of diving.

We dive with Aquaholics Scuba. They are a a small operation. Usually more more than 6 divers. It is a two man operation. Kevin manages and is the DM/Guide he is also an instructor. Javier is the Captain and has a 1st mate to help out. We dive with them because they pick up anywhere south of the marina, no time limits on dives, I take my BC off before getting into the boat, and a towel is giving before I sit down. If it is cold we are also offered Jackets. They have the best surface interval around with many snacks, muffins and fruit. They stop after each dive, usually at a place that has a restroom. We will be there again in April.

UW Photo Comments Cozumel is a fantastic place for UWP. Beginner divers should get their buoyancy and breathing to me pretty much automatic before getting into UWP. It can be challenging getting pictures and videos while diving in current.
