Comments I went on the vessel Argo which is the largest of the 3 vessels that are operated by the Undersea Hunter group. This vessel costs a little bit more but is well worth it. The Argo is 130' and has 8 staterooms. Each stateroom has its own restroom. These were the largest stateroom I have seen on a dive boat. There was plenty of room to store gear, and each room had a large desk and tv for playing cd's (bring your own).

The food was excellant, it was served buffet style. Beer and soft drinks were included in the price. Special requests were handled with a smile.

The vessel would stayed anchored inside a calm area. The routine was breakfast at 7am, 8am dive, 11 am dive, lunch at 1 pm, dive at 3 pm. dinner at 7 pm. Two night dives were offered during the week. We also went ashore one afternoon to visit the ranger station. The actual diving was done from 2 fiberglass boats that have tank racks, seats and a boarding ladder. The run to a dive site was between 5-20 minutes. Tanks stayed on the fiberglass boats and were filled after each dive. The boats had 2 large outboard motors. I saw how important it was to have two engines. Another dive operators boat broke down with divers in the water and had to call us for help. Due to the currents all dives are driff dives and the boats follow the divers and pick them up at the end of the dive. Safety equipment was issued to each diver, including gps locators (at no extra cost).

Also on board the vessel was a "Deep Submersible". It is a once in a life time opportunity to go where few have gone before. The Sub takes 2 passengers and a pilot to either 300' or 1000'. The way it is designed you can see 360 degrees. It has deep sea lights and a video camera. It is an expensive add on but well worth it.

About the diving. What can you say, its Cocos Island. Like they say if you don't like the conditions wait 5 minutes. We had a excellant week seeing hammerhead sharks, galapagos sharks, manta rays, white tip sharks, frog fish, red lip bat fish, turtles, jacks by the hundreds and 2 whale sharks.
