Comments Dive Safaris boats and rental gear were old but worked fine. The boat was covered in the event of sun. Back roll entry and then take off your gear and hand to deck hand at then end up the dive. Then climb up side ladder. They had water, cookies and excellent fresh pineapple.

We did one day of 2-tank diving. We we planning 2-3 days but the visibility was so poor that we didnt think it worth it. Our dives averaged about 40 minutes and depth was about 70 feet. We did see some white tips, some eagle rays, morays, lobsters and a large stingray. The DM pointed out a pair of beautiful harlequin shrimp. We also spent time diving around a wreck. There was a good variety of fish and some large schools. If the viz had been better, the dive would have been amazing. I would dive with Dive Safaris again as everything went well and the DM worked hard to keep all the divers in view. There were only 5 of us so we had enough room on the boat.

We stayed at the Hilton Papagayo and really enjoyed the location, food, service and beverages.
