Comments Just back from a week of diving with Southern Cross Club on Little Cayman. I had a group of nine including one diver that finished her open water certification on the trip.

The resort was great but unfortunately the seas were rough so we were only able to dive the north side of the island including Bloody Bay once, but that’s not something the dive operation can be faulted for.

- Food. Southern Cross has a menu with different options and they ask you at lunch which you prefer. We did not go hungry.

- Accommodations. We stayed in beach cottages at Southern Cross. Most were small duplexes although we did have one upgraded cottage with a living room. All had wonderful ocean views

- Dive guides. From what I’ve seen the different resorts trade dive guides like chips at a Las Vegas poker table. They also all dive the same sites.

- Dive support. Southern Cross does not have a full dive shop on site However the guides seem pretty adept at fixing problems and I suspect if they have an major issue they can bring it to one of the other dive resorts on the island.

- Southern Cross has two dive boats. We dove the larger one all week. It holds 12 divers and enough tanks for two dives each.
