Comments We studied the Nitrox course materials the first two days, took the test, and then dove with free Nitrox tanks the rest of the week.

Sharon and Alex were our primary DMs, and they were excellent: thorough briefings, able assistance, and hard work to find the best sites each day. Also dove with Dottie, Neil and Sunny, who were equally wonderful. Alex and Sunny cracked us up with jokes during the surface intervals! Boats are well-equipped and comfortable.

There appears to be some residual effect of the recent hurricanes - fewer fish and some coral damage. But, overall, it was wonderful diving. We had a great encounter with one of the Nassau Groupers who like to be petted by divers. It found us and stayed with us an entire dive, even following us to the boat at the end. Got some wonderful photos and video of a spotted eagle ray feeding in the sand, and also nice turtles, morays and sting rays. Beautiful swim-throughs and sheer walls.

Annabelle in the dive shop was very helpful, and Benny, the photo pro, came through when we discovered we had left critical parts for an Ikelite housing at home. The manager, Jason, went out of his way to help us, and took care of whatever we needed. Overall, the resort and dive operation staff were the best we've encountered.

The rooms at Little Cayman Beach Resort have been completely renovated, and are beautiful and clean. The dining room includes a screened porch where we had most of our meals. The food at all meals was the best we've had at a dive resort, particularly at lunch and dinner. There were always numerous gourmet entree selections, incredible home-made soups at dinner, and fabulous desserts at lunch and dinner. We often ate two desserts at each meal (but we managed not to put on any weight). The bartender, Mark, does amazing card tricks and is very friendly. The whole resort is relaxed and comfortable, and wildlife interest is provided by the resident iguanas during the day, and large hermit crabs at night.

UW Photo Comments On the boats: nice table reserved for cameras; no boat rinse tank, but easy-to-use fresh water hose, crew very good about handling cameras at beginning and end of dives. On land, there was a dedicated camera rinse tub.
