Comments The dive sites were full of typical caribbean small and mid size tropicals but with few barracuda, grouper and nurse sharks. A few dives revealed several large tarpon, one grey reef shark and the occasional eagle ray. Turtles and southern rays were common on each dive. Few crustaceous critters and nudibranches. With the exception of a trip to Bloody Bay wall off Little Cayman, the sites in general were a bit less than I had expected, more on that later, but were still on the whole satisfactory.
Reef Divers is a first rate valet dive operation with a fleet of five or six well maintained 46 ft. Newtons. The boats are stocked with fluids, snacks and complimentary convience items i.e. defogger and sunscreens. I am not a photographer but the table and rinse service seemed to satisfy those on board. The captains, DM's and shop staff are among the friendliest, most service oriented and conscientious I have had the pleasure to dive with.
The small and friendly resort, while not posh is VERY clean, well maintained and staffed from the front desk to wait staff to groundskeepers who share the same committment as the Dive Staff to making your stay the stuff of very fond memories. No phony pretensions or perky cruiseship enthusiasm just sincere appreciation that you chose to spend your vacation dollar there. This is not a place for teens or younger kids as it is simply too low key.
The onsite restaraunt serves consistently wonderful food, meal after meal, with a well varied menu. The breakfast and dinner plan is a great value. Breakfast hours begin early so divers will not be rushed and still enjoy a sumptous breakfast.
If you prefer liqour to beer and can accomodate the weight in your luggage,a duty free purchase prior to your arrival on the Brac is advisable as liqour at the market there is expensive.
We would definatly return to this resort. While the dive sites were a little less vibrant than I had come to expect after years of exposure to the Caymans vast advertising resources, the resort more than made up for it. My nondiving spouse was very satisfied with every aspect as well. I can state with confidence that when viewing the resorts website what you see IS what you get. No fradulent images, descriptions etc.
