Comments We've (my wife and I) dived with Ocean Frontiers several times and always find them to be a top notch organization with excellent service. The "dive 55" (55 dive sites identified around the East end) is a pretty good marketing tool, as well (several divers completed this effort while we were there). The shop rinses and takes care of your equipment start to finish. East end diving is quite good, and there is usually only one boat at a dive site. We had 10-12 divers on board the boat, and we split into two groups for each dive. Never felt crowded. Dive masters were excellent - good briefings and they pointed out items of interest on the dive. Plus they were friendly and accommodating. We saw several nurse and reef sharks, a few turtles, a couple of eagle rays, large groups of tarpon, eels, and some good sized groupers. I was a little surprised that we didn't see a lot of little critters. I did go on the "Macro" dive one afternoon and had a great time finding those types (along with a couple of eels). Actually saw a small golden eel eat a juvenile trunk fish (much to the consternation of Brittany, the divemaster). We had never stayed at Compass Point and we found our 1 bedroom apartment very comfortable and well-equipped for those who want to "dine in" including a dishwasher. Wifi is good and free. Staff was excellent (although we opted not to have housekeeping every day, someone came in to empty garbage, sweep, etc.) We took advantage of their October package deal, and saved a few bucks. We made our usual trek to Tukka (was just opening after a month of vacation for Ron, the Australian owner) and - as usual - had excellent fare. Eagle Ray bar and grill served very good food at the resort, as well (run by the same guy). And, as always, several trips were made to Over the Edge on the north side for peel-and-eat shrimp and white wine. A very enjoyable stay, and we will return. We recommend both the dive shop and residence highly.
