Comments My wife and I returned for the fall special with Ocean Frontiers, arriving on a Sunday-Sunday trip, diving 6 days, 1 bedroom condo and car. This is a very good special and the 3rd year we have done it. The check in is easy after about a 40 minute drive from the airport. The front office scans your C-cards and keeps a record of your dives, tank size, etc. The East End is laid back and traffic sparse, certainly compared to 7 Mile Beach & Industrial Blvd. area. The condo, which is very nice and adequate, is right beside the dive dock and after leaving our gear in a basket outside our room, we didn't have to touch it until we either geared up on the boat or left the resort. The dive boats are comfortable, and all 3 are fine. The dive staff is excellent as is the overall operation and I don't think there is a better one. The staff is attentive, but certainly not overbearing. I can't say enough good things about them. The diving was excellent, usually with great viz. The fish life was really good, with grouper and a lot of juveniles. We saw lionfish on probably 75% of the dives and they continue to be a problem. There were a few sharks seen, Caribbean Reef and a couple of nurse sharks. The dive guides allow you to go do your own thing (with a buddy) or follow them for half the dive and they bring you under the boat, be sure you see it, and then allow you to finish the dive as you wish.
The "Green Short Challenge" is an ingenious marketing tool to encourage divers to dive all 55 of the moored sites on the east end. My wife and I should get it next summer, & it's really fun.
The on site restaurant, "Eagle Ray's Bar and Grill" was good, but we went to the grocery for breakfast and lunch supplies, & then went out at night. Kurt's Korner is a local restaurant about 15 minutes away and was wonderful. South Coast Bar and Grill was good, and Tukka's was excellent but pricey. Over the Edge is another restaurant, that was pretty good, but has been better.

The diving at the East End is similar to Little Cayman. It is much more pristine, not overdived and we really love it out there. We will definitely return.
