Comments Great dive operation with valet service that washes, stores and sets up gear the next day. Friendly and detail oriented staff with excellent environmental awareness - no harrassing or chasing wildlife here. Several nice touches including dry erase boards that are used to illustrate the dive sites. Several boats with lots of deck space and marine heads. Always went out with significantly fewer divers than the boats could accomodate and noticed that they did not try to decrease costs by putting more divers on fewer boats. Another pleasant surprise was that tipping was never mentioned or hinted at. I asked at the office and was told if we wished to tip at the end of our stay we could leave an envelope with the office staff and it would be shared. We went on a night dive with UV lights which totally changed what we saw. Anemones, in particular, shone vividly in the light and we were able to feed them by holding the lights close by to attract small lifeforms. Because the diving is on the windward side of the island the waters were much rougher than those on the west side. At times it was difficult to reboard the bucking boats but current was not an issue on any of the dives and once underwater the surface turmoil had little effect. Meclazine was a lifesaver for me on almost all dives, especially on the 3 tank adventure along the north shore. Usually did a wall dive followed by a reef dive with many swimthroughs in dramatic topography. Each dive seemed to be exceptional only to be surpassed by the next dive. Can't wait to go back.
