Comments Easy short flight from Grand Cayman. Cayman Airways was easy to work with and they did not charge for checked bags under 50 lbs. As of Aug 1, 2018, they now charge for checked bags per their website.
Little Cayman Beach Resort is setup for diving and is good at it. Rinse tanks where you need them and water changed often enough. Dedicated camera rinse tanks on shore. Carried my own soft side cooler for rinsing on board. Space for hanging your gear to dry, only taking to room what you want, i.e. dive computer, etc.
Food is satisfactory. Desserts looked wonderful but disappointed on taste.
Boats are 40-45 ft range, setup well for diving. Good briefings. Good DM's. Can go with guides or with your buddy. Most divers came as couples with a few singles looking for a buddy.
Lots of great coral, plenty of fish schools. Made most Grand Cayman dives look like a desert. Lots of turtles and they ignored divers taking photos, even when close up. Most fish schools were diver tolerant as well. With all the wide angle options, did not search for macro all week. Good place for fisheye lens behind a dome.
Best diving is on North side and if windy, can get blown out, diving on West side which is nice but not as great. Divers the week before us got only one day on the North side. We only got blown out one day. Week after us looked too windy for the next few days. So it is with winter diving at Little Cayman. Summer diving should have more days on the North side per week.

UW Photo Comments Wide angle, wall diving. Schools of fish, turtles and barracuda that allowed approach within inches. Little current on most dives. Rinse tank on shore. Bring soft sided cooler and fill with water at dock by boat for on-board rinse tank.
Great for a fisheye lens. Best walls/ diving on north side which can be blown out in winter often. Weather was great for us, not so much for week before and after us. West side is back up plan for windy days. Good diving on West side but not nearly as good as North side.
Overall rating is compared to other Carib. diving locations. Boat facilities for cameras similar to other Carib non-LOB. No rinse tank on boat, two large dedicated camera rinse tanks on shore.
Planning to visit again.
