Comments We again had a superb diving experience with Russ and the very personable and capable team of dive professionals at Don Foster's Dive. Under Sergio's leadership, the team took us to sites ranging from Eagle Ray Rock at the southern end of the western wall to Big Tunnel at the northern end. Sergio assigned the large flat-top Cayman Sun dive boat to our group of 20+ divers, which it easily accommodated. Russ captained the Sun and preceded each dive with a detailed site briefing that included a whiteboard depiction of the site. The 20+ divers were divided into 2 or 3 small groups, each led by a different person and often following slightly different routes. The sites seemed to be in pretty good shape, considering the changes occurring in the marine environment, and we saw healthy reefs with ample sea life -- including what seemed to be more turtles than we are accustomed to seeing. Our turtle sightings included two who were mating on the surface. I can't say enough in praise of Russ and his team, particularly Lindsey and Nick, who took such good care of us. We stayed at Silver Sands Condominiums, which is located at the northern end of Seven Mile Beach. Silver Sands has been our venue on the group dive trips I have been organizing since the 1980s and it has remained our favorite property in Grand Cayman because of its location, wide peaceful beach, well maintained nicely landscaped property, and spacious apartments. It also is close to the heavily used West Bay dock, which would have been very convenient for us to use for access to the dive boat. However, the heavy usage of the dock prevented that convenience and required us to drive 15 minutes or so each day to the dive center just south of Georgetown where we boarded the boat. But the bottom line is, we again had a terrific time diving with a great team of dive professionals at Don Foster's Dive, a team we have come to know well over several years of repeated good diving experiences in Grand Cayman.
