Comments [None]This island is very laid back and the people are very nice. No need to overpack as everything is casual. Do bring at least 1 sweatshirt as it can get cool at night. We stayed in the condos. There are 2 condo buildings, one is under renovation. They are 1 bedroom with a wrap around enclosed porch as a 2nd bedroom and kitchen, quite nice for hearing the ocean at night. Condos are about 100 yards from resort which is nice for quiet and privacy. I cant say enough about the staff here, Max the manager greeted us the first day in to make sure we had everything we needed. We needed to stock up on groceries and one of the staff drove us to the store and waited for us! We had 2 5year olds with us, so we were often showing up at the last minute for restaurant hours and they were great about it. They even called our room a couple of times when we did not eat there to make sure they did not close on us. Beach was well kept, but not a good swimming beach. Pool was nice and clean, we were practically the only ones using it. The food was fantastic, some kind of carved roast every night, or grilled steak, crab legs, fish all good. Dive staff was nice and did good briefings, diving was very good although it was very rough with 6' waves at times. We did get over to little Cayman and dove bloody bay, which was amazing, very pristine. The reef are in great shape here with lots of coral and sponge life. Fish population was average, few moorays although I did photograph a 3" baby mooray. We saw several hawksbill turtles, lettuce leaf nudibrancs, a few stingrays and one eagle ray. The wreck of the 356 is a must see ( a russian Frigate) with 2 gun turrets intact. I also reccommend the Tarpon dive, great for photo's as they let us get close and the sight had lots of mini canyons and ledges to explore. We will return here again for sure!
