Comments Lighthouse Point rooms are very nicely appointed condo's on-site with the dive shop. All condos on the second and third floors run the length of the building, which provides very nice views looking southwest from a very large patio. The dark wood inside the condos do make them a little dark, however lighting is very adequate! Very spacious and quiet!

The small on-site restaurant, Vivo, provided a good selection of vegan selections. For the carnivore, they offer two Lionfish entree's for lunch and dinner, a Lionfish sandwich or Lionfish filet. The portions seemed to be small. Being raised on a ranch in Montana, I found myself really craving meat, and often walked away from the table less than satisfied. The vegan bacon was nice and crunchy, but pretty bland and less than satisfying.
Expect to spend 30-45 minutes waiting for you meal. Vivo has a very small kitchen, and wait staff. While the wait staff is very friendly and more than accommodating, the small kitchen is a bottleneck.

The dive ship offers a good range of technical options. The dive masters are all technical instructors. Only one of the group was approachable, Drew. The other instructors were very stuck-up, and were only interested in interfacing with you if you talked technical diving.

The dive ship had a barbecue the last night of the stay. Drew was the only dive shop staff who actually made an effort to sit with guests and add to the conversation. All, and I do mean ALL, the other dive ship staff sat at a separate table and talked among themselves. They had two bags of real potato chips that they would not offer to share, and left us to the vegan chips.
When we had insufficient places to sit, we, the guests, found a table on the other side of the resort, and had to move it ourselves. Drew was the only one to help. Very "cold" dive shop staff outside of Drew. If the staff (except Drew) was replaced with customer focused staff, it would make this an outstanding destination.
Overall, if you like being ignored by the dive shop staff, this is a nice place to stay.

Enforced diving restrictions The divemasters demanded you stay with them regardless of your remaining NDL and gas supply. Had to dive shallower on one dive due to buddy's gas consumption rate. The lead divemaster "counseled us" on not staying with the group.
