Comments Divi picks you up and takes you to airport no charge. Very friendly staff. The reort buildings and guest rooms are a little antiquated despite recent updating. Guest rooms are basic but clean. Our air conditioner quit working and maintenance was quick to respond and solved the problem. A/C went out again our last night and we didnt bother to have it fixed. Try to request a room in the furthest east two buildings for best beach access and ocean view. The resort sits on a large beautiful sandy beach loaded with palm trees. Plenty of lounge chairs. You will want a meal plan because restaurants for the most part are not in decent walking distance. The food at Divi is only above average. Great breakfast bar with cooked to order french toast, pancakes, eggs cooked any style, fruit etc.

We took a short walk to Brac Reef Resort. We didnt see inside the rooms, but its appearance is nicer than Divi. Their dining room is much nicer. however, the Divi beach is nicer. For the money I'll take the Divi. Besides I was there for the diving and my wife got her nice beach.

The diving was very good as expected. Dive Tiara is an excellent dive operation. Well organized with experienced staff. They operate with one 46ft and three 38ft boats. Boats are very clean and roomy. Table and rinse tank for cameras. Most dive sites are approx ten minute trip. Fruit and cheese crackers served during surface interval. Loose diving restrictions. They casually watch computers for decompression settings. No divemaster in water. You basicly are on your own with a buddy. Good dive briefings. All the dive staff members i delt with were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Dive Tiara couldnt be much better.

We went to Little Cayman one day to dive Bloody Bay Wall. Two sites there were excellent and the best of the trip. The sites at Brac are typical Cayman. Beautiful walls and reefs with swim throughs and sandy bottoms. Lots of turtles, nurse sharks, stingrays and hudge groupers. Plenty of macro life on the reefs. The seas and currents were unusually strong all week. Vis was 60ft-70ft. Typically you can expect 80-100ft. vis.

your dive gear stays on the boats during your stay. They rinse your gear and return it to your room on day of departure. Unfortunatly your gear remains in the sun while being stowed on the boats. Dive shop doesnt stock much so purchase what you need before you leave home. I'm not a big camera type diver, but it appears they have a good photo shop.

We flew Cayman Airways from Grand Cayman to the Brac. The small plane (approx 25 seats) was full. Some passengers including me had some luggage left in Grand Cayman due to weight and space issues with the plane. The missing peices were brought to our room that evening via Cayman Airways jet. I heard Island Air, an alternative airline, does this more often. We had no problems on our return.

My wife and I plan to return to Cayman Brac and we will stay at Divi and dive with Dive Tiara. We had a great trip.
