Comments This was our 9th trip to Divi Flamingo with our dive shop, Wateree Dive Center in Columbia, SC. We flew with Delta from Atlanta on their weekly Saturday flight. This has always been an excellent trip and continues to be so.

The dive operation in excellent. Rofino and Laurel were on our boat all week and did an excellent job. Rofino especially sought out Lionfish, which were relatively prevalent, and dispatched a number of them in an effort to cut down their population. This is encouraged by the dive operation and hopefully will help. The boat was adequate, but engine overall is not too far off.

There was excellent juvenile fish life and we saw juvenile Queen Angels and juvenile French Angels more than previous visits. Golden morays, Chain morays, Spotted morays, and occasional Green morays were seen. There were several sightings of large turtles and also spotted eagle rays and southern stingrays. Overall, the fishlife was excellent and the reefs in good shape, except for several bleached areas on a couple of sites. The viz was excellent and water temp about 81-83 degrees, quite comfortable with a rash guard and shorts.

Our package included breakfast at Divi and lunch and dinner on your own. Restaurants we will definitely return to include "Unbelievable", "Cappricio's", "Paradise Moon", and "It Rains Fishes".

Clearing Atlanta was a hassle. It took about 50 minutes to get our luggage and a total of two hours to get to our car. The entire Western Hemisphere seemed to arrive at the same time on a Saturday night.

We'll return again to Divi Flamingo and we really love Bonaire. The people are friendly and the diving is wonderful. Our dive shop does a great job with getting this as hassle free week as possible. I don't think there is anything that could be done about arrival in Atlanta. The term "BOHICA" is appropriate.
