Comments We were supposed to be there in August of 2020, our annual end of summer trip to Bonaire, but Covid happened. We were waiting and when finally the island has reopened, and Delta started flying again, we jumped in. First, we had to go through all the hustle with PCR testing at home as nobody could guaranty the results being ready before our departure. But we've got them and were on our way. The flights were packed. As soon as we landed on the island we had to get tested again, and only after that we could get through customs.
The resort was packed, I have never seen that many people at the same time in all our years coming there. They were running all boats 3 times a day, and all boats were full. But we did not mind, we've been diving and it was good. There were noticeable fewer big fish, and more lion fish. But the rest was plentiful, turtles, eagle rays, squid, seahorses, etc.
The Run Runners restaurant, unfortunately, decided to go "upscale" with the prices going up and the quality of food going down. But there were still other good choices open on the island (Between Buns, Meze, Edy's and many others). Reservations were a must as the island was packed too. Can't wait to go back.
