Comments The good: The diving. We saw turtles on most dives, frog fish, sea horses, octopi, scorpion fish, a trunk fish that changed colors, angel fish of various sorts, trumpet fish, blue tang, flounders mating, tarpon on the night dives (they thought our lights would help them find dinner), and the rest of the small fish population. The breakfast buffet was good -- wide assortment of breads, omlets made to order, fresh fruits and juices. We went with a group and had schedule boat dives -- the boats were good sized for our group. The dive masters did a great job finding the less obvious fish. Dives off the dock at the resort were great -- we did other shore dives, but could have been happy just diving at the resort. Of course, this could be colored by diving in MN where the visibility is 20 feet on a good day. The baskets provided in the bathrooms made moving wet gear around easier. There was plenty of space on the balconeys for drying gear. Generally, the drive through fill station worked well. If you sign up for unlimited Nitrox, get your tanks early in the day. They were frequently out of Nitrox by 2 or so, or were limited to 63 cf tanks.

The bad: The resort is in a state of disrepair. There was water leaking into our bathroom from the ceiling during most nights -- we were on the top floor, so can't blame it on an overflowing shower. Lights didn't work. The stove could not get hot enough to boil water for pasta. The large burner wouldn't light at all. The truck we were assigned had lost its power steering and the transmission was on the way to being out.

What we wish we knew: Put on bug spray. The no-see-ems didn't hurt while there, but the bites itch now that we are home.
