Comments We have made multiple trips to Buddy Dive and enjoy the facility and the security. It looks like they have been keeping up with the maintenance and the vehicle fleet is in good shape. The drive thru air is great with rinse tanks and another locker area. They also had various size Nitrox tanks from 60 cf to 100 cf. We shore dived at Buddy Dive Reef and many other sites and enjoyed the walls, Helma Hooker, second reef, and many more. There are approximately 62 dive sites on the leeward side of the island. The shore diving was great as we would park, suit up, swim out to the top of the wall, descend and go one way, come in, off gas, and repeat in the other direction. Our vehicle would haul all the tanks needed for the day. With no supervision we could dive our computers and have longer dive times than the boats and have more fun. More time on the walls where the coral and beauty is the best. If you wanted to dive Kline Bonaire a boat is necessary but many times we would be underwater and a boat would show up, divers would descend and later return, and we would still be enjoying the shallow reef. Made one boat dive and the regimentation with follow the leader was a short time on the wall than the rest of the time in the shallow soft corals and the return to the boat...60 min max. Got to experience Kline in two sites which was nice. Best to just shore dive and/or if needed, hire a local dive master to help find small critters.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and made dinner in our condo a few times. The restaurants on the property had good food but the service was frustratingly slow. Not enough cooks on line... You may visit the main grocery store near the downtown area for good nibbles, fresh fish, and a large selection of fruits and vegetables. We got fixings for lunches and the entres for dinners we made. The experience overall was great. BTW you can get the plastic park medallion souvenir at the park office by showing your paid receipt.

UW Photo Comments The boat we were on did not have rinse tank or small bucket for UWP. When I asked why they said because of covid. I said no one breaths through a camera! That did not matter. The dive leader was a control freak and could not or would not accommodate the simple needs for rinsing a camera housing.
