Comments sand dollar resort and dan leman apartments have direct access to bari reef via a nice little pier. it is all w/in walking distance, short walks at that. the dive operation is good although the boats are kind of a panga style which may be a turnoff for some. they can be kind of bumpy even w flat conditions. for me and my dive buddy no problem, but i would not take my wife on the boats;>) the people there are just great, they have a naturalist there, jerry, who does a great class and leads a dive of the bari reef. it is a very easy reef to learn to navigate, only once did we encounter any current (that was at night). night dives are easy too. the resort itself is not particularly luxurious, but everything worked. we stayed in room b-7, on the ground floor, and the lanai was screened in...i would recommend requesting a screened in lanai, that way you can keep the windows open at night and the bugs out. our apartment had A/C, i'm not sure all of them do, so if that matters to you, i would check that out in advance. the main thing about this place is the super easy access to great shore diving.
