Comments Corals were mostly dying or dead; sponges were nice. Bad luck to start diving 4 days after hurricane Lisa came over the resort. Vis was awful until you reached 60 feet & then it was doable...20-40 feet...so mostly limited to close reef viewing. Our dive guide speared lion fish & fed them to the waiting reef sharks...several were always around us... so that activity really helped entertain us on what would otherwise have been mostly boring poor vis dives all week. We also had quite a few green morays...one had been fed & aggressively wanted speared lion fish. We also had several white spotted toad fish out in full view. They are much larger than the Cozumel Splendid Toad fish. Our trip included 1 day at the Blue Hole & Half Moon Cay...where we enjoyed good vis for 3 dives & also saw the red footed Booby birds & frigates & enjoyed lunch on the island. This day trip was 1.5 hour boat ride. We had some friendly groupers. Indigo hamlets, barred, & butter were seen. The usual caribbean fish were there just not in quantity. The resort & staff & food were all very good.
