Comments The resort was on Southwest Caye in Glover's Atoll, one-hour boat ride from the mainland. Accommodation was in a cute cabana which is simple (no AC, TV, etc.) but sufficient (plenty of hot water, vanity) and clean. They served fresh fish/lobster/fruits at every meal!! All resort staffs were very friendly and helpful. The water off the front beach is very shallow, but there are coral patchs and drop-off at 5~10 minutes' kayaking, great for snorkelling. We saw an octpus dining a conch and giant green moray etc.

The Reef around Glover's Atoll was beautiful, probably the best in Caribbean that I've seen. It was great to see all big groupers, snappers, jacks, angelfish and huge schools of fish, not seen anymore around some Caribbean islands. Diving was very relaxed and that was great. 100% drift diving. We were swimming (floating) along the gentle currnet, if any, taking time to find interesting things. The boat captain followed the bubbles or saw the divers underwater (visibility was superb) and picked us up at the end of the dive. Most of the week we were there, two of us were the only divers and never saw other dive boats. Turtles, morays, lobsters, were seen almost every dive. Large nurse sharks and dolphins were regular sightings. The night dives were also amazing. I have never seen so many lobsters and crabs walking around. In one night dive, we saw an octopus and toadfish. For some reason though, there weren't many invertebrates. We didn't see any sea slugs and saw only a couple of flamingo tongues. Their dive master was great. We had a lot of fun together!
