Comments We did a long weekend dive trip with Ecologic Divers. The weather was suboptimal - overcast, spotty rain, pretty cool - ~70 - 72° F out of the water and water temp was about 79°F. Rental equipment was good and bad - BCD's were in good shape, regulators a little beat up. My depth gauge spun around and had to twist it back to read it - worked though. The surface was also choppy. The dive boats are a little beat up as well but functional. The dive crew were what made the trip good though. The dive masters and boat captains were very pleasant, sociable, helpful, and accommodating. The first day, we decided not to do a second dive because the above water temp just made it miserable coming back - the boat brings you back to dock between dives - they didn't charge us for a booked second dive and were great about it. We always had the option to change or do what we'd like; their mantra of "it's your vacation, do what will be fun" was great and they meant it. They were also very eco friendly as per the name. They were very vocal about not touching the coral and wildlife, unlike a lot of other local dive operators. We appreciated this very much. The diving itself waa pleasant - nice corals, plenty of fish - although smaller in size, and a large population of nurse sharks, reef sharks, and one persistently present bull shark. They were good about safety and checked frequently on the divers with them. The dive sites were limited due to chop and temperature as no one wanted to be above water very long but had a good variety of life. Overall would recommend them over other operators on Ambergris Caye

I'd worry about a regulator that looked "a little beaten up." That is one thing I definitely would NOT rent.
