Comments Nassau, specially Paradise Island, is extremely expensive for food, taxis, and entertainment. I was one of the first picked up in the morning and had a one hour bus trip to the dive shop. They ran only two boats per day with 17-20 divers each. I wish they had run an additional boat to reduce the number of divers on each boat. The crew and staff were very friendly and professional. The dives were overly controlled for my taste. I returned to the boat on all dives with half a tank of air or more. First dives were either wall or wreck dives and had a maximum dive time of 35 minutes including the mandatory safety stop of 3 minutes. I could have easily done an hour on all dives. One of their favorite second dive sites, Hollywood Bowl, ranges only 10-20 feet deep. Nice reef with lots of smaller colorful fish but with surge, very difficult to navigate. I believe the reason for the short dive times is the lack of surface interval provided. Average surface interval was only 30 minutes. Any more SI would make the boats late for the afternoon dives. That's not a good reason to me for cut short my dives. Stuart Cove needs to adjust their schedules to allow for two one hour dives with an hour surface interval. After the dives, there were nice large rinse tanks for gear and a storage area so you don't have to lug all your gear back and forth to the hotel. Overall, it was an enjoyable week with some great wall dives and some nice wrecks.
