Comments Our Accommodations were great, a whole apt. However, this was not a resort, it is Bimini. We had an apt in town across from the ocean The folks who live here are wonderful and when you stay in town you get to know the people of this island. We made several friends.
The Diving: Good part: The Great hammerhead dive was great, Though it did feel a little manufactured--almost like a water park. We were in 30' of water, sat in a line and watched the show.
There were probably 6-7 over 1.5 hours size ranged from 3-5 miters you were very close to the action.
Mixed in were Caribbean reef sharks and nurse sharks, a couple of bull sharks.
The second day was Caribbean Reef shark dive which had more "natural' action. Lots and lots of reef sharks. Great photo ops
3rd day Did a dive with group over the reefs. Saw turtles, sharks variety of reef fish. Interesting dive.
Not so good: It was our 3rd day "regular" dive. My nephew is a new diver and was running low on air. I pointed him to the dive master (leader of dive). She continued with the dive. When she turned around to go back. I checked his air and he was extremely low. I went to the dive leader to point this out and he ran out of air. She shared her octopus with him the rest of the way back. I took a dive master course, and that is a situation that should not happen, but when it does there are better ways of dealing with this situation.
